Tele-products crowned Think Green Business of the Year

Tele-products Ltd, one of Intandem’s newer clients has been crowned Think Green Business of the Year in the Press Business Awards which took place on 26 November.

Tele-products which also uses Crucible Technologies and First Stop Safety as brand names, has designed an environmentally friendly PAT Testing device which is repairable. It has recently started marketing a Lighting Energy Controller to help reduce energy use in buildings, shrinking users’ electricity bills by up to 35% and also extending bulb life, which reduces maintenance costs.  The company has carried out a thorough review of its own environmental impact and has taken significant steps to reduce its own carbon footprint involving its employees.

Runners up were another Intandem client, Lindum Turf, who have developed a range of wildflower turf products specially designed for green roofs. The products help to reduce urban flooding by reducing run off from roofs, help to insulate buildings and increase biodiversity by supporting a wide range of insect, bird and animal species.
